Hi everyone,

My name is Spencer Brown and I’m a 22 year old exchange student from Lakefield (Ontario, Canada) attending the University of Lincoln for the semester. Lakefield is a small town in southern Ontario that is approximately a three hour drive from Toronto. My school back home is the University of Guelph and my major is Management Economics and Finance. Some of my interests are playing basketball and travelling. Some of the countries I travelled to before this exchange were Barcelona, Belgium, the Netherlands, Mexico and the United States of America.

The main point of this blog is to share my experiences of my semester abroad and I’m excited to share my discoveries with you. This blog could be useful to you if you like to hear about other peoples travel details or if you’re a university student thinking of going to studying abroad. The blog posts I’m going to create include my motives for deciding to study abroad and my time spent travelling to other parts of the UK and Europe. I think you’ll enjoy my posts if you want to get a firsthand view of what it’s like to be on exchange. You will also get to see some of the observations that I make along the way. I will also be trying to relate these observations to digital devices and social media. Everyone has different experiences travelling and trying new things and I always find it interesting to hear their views on a place or new venture.
